News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi Weather News: Delhi is witnessing a change in the weather in the last week of May. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in the capital. There may be light rain here on Wednesday (May 28), after which relief from the heat is expected.
Actually, the Meteorological Department had predicted rain with thunderstorms for Tuesday (May 27). According to the IMD, the situation will be a little lighter on May 28, where there is a possibility of cloud cover and lightning, but no warning has been issued.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms again on 29 and 30 May, but the matter of relief is that no warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department these days. There is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers on 31 May.
Due to this changed weather, a drop in temperature
is being recorded. While the mercury often crosses 40 degrees in the month of May, this time between 26 to 31 May the temperature has remained between 32 to 38 degrees, which has definitely given some relief to the people from the heat. However, due to strong winds and storms, problems like falling of trees, disruption of power supply and waterlogging have come to the fore at many places.
Weather is changing due to western disturbance.
Weather experts say that this weather system has arisen due to western disturbance and moisture in the Bay of Bengal, due to which many parts of North India are getting affected. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert for the next two days and said to avoid going out unnecessarily.
In view of the possibility of lightning, the Meteorological Department has instructed to avoid going to open
fields and high places. While on one hand the residents of Delhi NCR are getting relief from the heat amid the changing weather, on the other hand, heavy rain and storm have disrupted normal life.
