Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now at such a stage in her career where she prefers mental peace and health over money. In a recent interview, she openly revealed that she turned down 15 big brand endorsements—and she took this decision by paying crores of rupees. But for Samantha, all this was more than money. It was a decision to stay true to her values and lifestyle.
Said 'no' to deals worth crores
In an interview with Foodfarmer, Samantha said that she turned down offers from about 15 brands last year. She clearly stated that she does not want to promote just for the sake of promotion, but wants to support such brands that are in the interest of both society and health. Samantha said, “When I entered the industry at the age of 20, success was measured by how many projects you had, how many brands you were the face of. I used to feel happy when multinational brands wanted to make me their ambassador.”
Brand selection is done with the advice of the doctor
She further said, "Now I have understood how wrong that thinking was. My illness forced me to rethink my decisions. Now I do what is right for my mind and health. If I look at the decisions of my youth today, I would like to apologize to my old thinking. This is why I want to tell my young followers not to consider themselves invincible at the age of 20." Samantha also told that now whenever any brand contacts her, she consults three doctors and gets it scientifically tested before endorsing that product.
