Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on 22 April 2025. India-Pakistan is on the verge of war. The Home Ministry has instructed all the states to conduct mock drills in their respective areas. After this, there is tremendous alertness in the whole country. The war siren has sounded from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. People are being trained to survive during war. Mock drills are to be held in 244 districts of India on 7 May. When do the war sirens sound?

Generally, such sirens are sounded in case of war and emergency. There are many purposes of sounding sirens during war, including warning people about air raids, to establish radio contact with the Air Force or to check the preparedness of civil defence, blackout and control room preparations. War sirens can be heard from 2 to 5 kilometres away. It will not be like a common alarm or ambulance siren. It will be a loud warning system, which will make a sound of 120 to 140 decibels.

Citizens need not panic

Let us tell you that on 7 May, i.e. tomorrow, India will show the trailer to Pakistan. Mock drill is to be held in 244 districts of India on 7 May. After the war of 1971, i.e. after 54 years, mock drill of war is being done in India. This mock-drill will be done to make the citizens recognize the siren that is rung during the war. During this, the war siren will keep ringing for some time. However, the citizens need not panic due to this.
