Actually, Adnan Sami was earlier a Pakistani citizen but after years he took Indian citizenship. Now in a recent post, Adnan Sami told that Pakistani citizens are also upset with the army there and want to change citizenship.

In a post shared on his X handle on Sunday, Adnan Sami said, “Walking in the beautiful streets of Baku, Azerbaijan, I met some cute Pakistani boys. They said, 'Sir you are very lucky. You left Pakistan in good times. We also want to change our citizenship. We hate our army. They ruined our country.' I replied, 'I already knew that.'”

 

When did Adnan Sami get Indian citizenship?

Adnan Sami was born in London. His father Arshad Sami Khan was a Pakistani and worked in the Air Force. His mother was an Indian and belonged to Jammu and Kashmir. Adnan had Pakistani as well as Canadian citizenship. To make a name in the music world, Adnan came to India in 2001. He made a name in the music world with many hit songs and acquired Indian citizenship in 2016.
