Tamil action drama Retro released in theatres on May 1, directed by Karthik Subbaraj who has made films like Jigarthanda DoubleX, Mahaan and Petta. Now he has come up with Retro with Surya which has been doing well since its release.

 

Retro gave competition to two films

Retro clashed with films like Raid 2 and HIT 3. Retro had a good start on the first day but since then it has been lagging behind Raid 2 and HIT 3. However, it would not be wrong to say that Surya's film is earning well at the domestic box office. The earnings figures have also come out on Monday.

How about Retro Monday?

Retro appeared to be faltering in the Monday test. The film's earnings dropped by more than 50 percent. According to the early trade of SaccNilk, Retro has done a business of Rs 3.35 crore on the fifth day at the domestic box office. The film's collection is decent in terms of non-weekend. The total collection of the film has become Rs 46.50 crore.

Raid 2 and Hit 3 came out ahead

Talking about Ajay Devgan's Raid 2 and Nani starrer HIT The Third Case , the earnings of these films have also declined on Monday. But they have earned more than retro. The collection of Ajay Devgan's film on the fifth day was Rs 7.75 crore while the collection of HIT 3 is Rs 4.15 crore.
