An example of what parents can do when insulted by their children was seen in Tamil Nadu. Being insulted by his children, a former army officer donated his property worth four crores to the Arulmighu Renugambal Amman temple.

Two property documents found in the donation box

According to the information, on June 24, documents of two properties worth Rs 4 crore were found in the donation box of the temple. The members of the temple authority were surprised to find these documents. Actually, in Tamil Nadu's Arulmighu Renugambal Amman temple, the members of the temple authority count the donations received from the devotees, usually cash offerings, once every two months. While counting the offerings on Tuesday, the temple members were surprised to find the original documents of two properties worth Rs 4 crore.

Former soldier told why he donated his property

The temple is located near Arni town in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. The devotee who donated property worth Rs 4 crore has been identified as retired army officer S Vijayan. Vijayan, a native of Keshavpuram village, has been worshipping at the temple since childhood. He has been living alone for about ten years after differences with his wife V Kasturi (56).

The 65-year-old former soldier has two daughters, both married and living in Chennai and Vellore. However, he reportedly does not get any support from his family. His daughters were pressuring him to transfer the property in their name. I was even insulted by my children for daily expenses, S Vijayan said. He said, "I will not go back on my word. I will legally transfer my property to the temple after consulting the temple authorities."

A consent letter was also given along with the document

The documents donated to the temple are related to 10 cents of land and a house located near the temple. Their total value is around Rs 4 crore. He has also given his consent letter in writing along with the documents.
