News Topical, Digital Desk : The budget session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will be held from March 9 to 13 at the Bhararisain Assembly Building. The state government has officially announced the dates. The Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Department has sent a letter to the Assembly Secretariat in this regard. Now, after the Governor's approval, a notification for the session will be issued.
This budget session, held in the summer capital, Gairsain, is considered politically significant. Last year, the budget session was held in Dehradun due to ongoing renovations to the building, but this time the government had clearly indicated that the session would be held in Bhararisain. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was authorized by the cabinet to finalize the date and venue, after which he decided to hold the session in Gairsain.
500 questions received so far
Both the ruling party and the opposition are fully engaged in the session. The Assembly Secretariat has received over 500 questions so far. With time still remaining before the session begins, the number of questions is expected to increase further. MLAs are preparing to raise issues in their respective constituencies, development projects, and public interest issues in the House.
The budget for the financial year will be presented
During the Budget Session, the government will present the budget for the upcoming financial year. Several important bills and annual reports are also expected to be tabled in the House. This session is considered crucial in political circles, as it will clearly outline the government's priorities and plans.
Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that all preparations for the budget session in Bhararisain have been completed. Staff at the Assembly Secretariat are working to finalize the arrangements. A formal notification for the session will be issued as soon as the Governor's permission is received.
Holding the budget session in Gairsain will once again increase the political activity in the hilly region and a platform for democratic discussion will be set up in the summer capital of the state.
