News Topical, Digital Desk : Police suspect a third vehicle was involved in the Kurnool bus fire in Andhra Pradesh last week, which claimed the lives of 19 passengers.

On the morning of October 24, a sleeper bus going to Bengaluru hit a biker, after which the bike got stuck under the bus and was dragged for a long distance, due to which its fuel tank burst and after this the bus caught fire.

What does the police suspect?

According to police, skid marks from the Kaveri Travels bus were found slightly ahead of where the bike initially fell and the rider died on the spot. This suggests that the bike had skidded slightly further after the initial impact.

Police are investigating the third vehicle

"The difference in the location of the bike's skid marks suggests that another vehicle may have hit the bike before the bus crushed it," said Kurnool district DSP Vikrant Patil. He said police were investigating to determine if a third vehicle was involved in the accident.
