News Topical, Digital Desk : After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India-Pakistan is on the verge of war. A series of meetings are going on in the country to respond to Pakistan. In this sequence, a mock drill will be organized across the country on May 7. On May 7, war sirens will be played as a mock drill at 259 places in 244 districts of the country. This mock drill will be conducted to teach citizens to recognize the sirens played during war. During this, the war siren will keep playing for some time. However, citizens need not panic. Only one district has been selected for this mock drill in Tamil Nadu, for which instructions have been issued.

Mock drill will be conducted here in Tamil Nadu

This civil defence mock drill will be organised in 244 districts of the country tomorrow. In Tamil Nadu, this mock drill will be conducted in only one district, namely Chennai. For the mock drill, the districts have been divided into three categories (Category I, Category II, Category III). Chennai has been put in Category 1.  

Mock drill of war in India after 54 years

Let us tell you that on 7 May, i.e. tomorrow, India will show the trailer to Pakistan. Mock drill is to be held in 244 districts of India on 7 May. After the war of 1971, i.e. after 54 years, mock drill of war is being done in India. This mock-drill will be done to make the citizens recognize the siren that is rung during the war. During this, the war siren will keep ringing for some time. However, the citizens need not panic due to this.

When do the war sirens sound?

Generally, such sirens are sounded in case of war and emergency. There are many purposes of sounding sirens during war, including warning people about air raids, to establish radio contact with the Air Force or to check the preparedness of civil defence, blackout and control room preparations. War sirens can be heard from 2 to 5 kilometres away. It will not be like a common alarm or ambulance siren. It will be a loud warning system, which will make a sound of 120 to 140 decibels.
