Vodafone Idea Stock Price: After strong buying by FIIs, a new target for the stock came

A new report has come on Vodafone Idea. The company's stock has got a target of 60 percent upside. The company's stock opened at Rs 7.27 on April 15, 2025 against the closing price of Rs 7.17. After this the stock has increased by 3 percent. Citi believes that a positive outlook can be kept on both the company and Indus Towers.

The government has converted the company's spectrum dues of ₹3,700 crore into equity, taking the government's stake to 49% now. ICRA has upgraded the company's rating to investment grade (BBB-). Citi believes that a positive outlook can be kept on both the company and Indus Towers. Shareholding data shows that the number of retail investors in the company has increased. By the end of the March 2025 quarter, Vodafone Idea has 59.06 lakh retail shareholders. This number was 58.34 lakh in the December 2024 quarter. That is, about 72,000 new retail investors bought the company's shares during the quarter. Minor change in retail stake- The total stake of retail investors stood at 7.32%, which was 7.63% in the December quarter. That is, the number of investors has increased but there has been no major change in the stake. Investors whose authorized share capital is more than ₹ 2 lakh have a stake above 10%. Mutual funds also showed interest - 32 mutual funds have taken 4.5% stake in Vodafone Idea. In December 2024, 28 funds had 3.6% stake. That is, mutual funds are also gradually showing their confidence in the company. FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investors) also increased stake - The stake of foreign investors (FPI) has increased from 9.9% to 10.1%. Government became the largest shareholder The company has converted its spectrum dues of ₹ 36,000 crore into equity. This has increased the government's stake to 48.99%. However, the government will not be the promoter and Vodafone Idea will not become a government company (PSU).
