Rishikesh. Rishikesh Accident: A cargo vehicle (utility) missing for two days was found fallen in a deep ditch on Narendranagar-Gujarada motor road. The utility driver died in the accident, and the police have sent his body for post-mortem.

The incident happened on the evening of August 13

On Thursday, the Narendranagar police station informed the SDRF over phone that a utility vehicle had fallen into a deep ditch on the Narendranagar-Gujarada road. On receiving the information, the SDRF team was immediately dispatched to the site of the incident.

After collecting information from the civil police and local citizens present at the site of the incident, it was found that the incident took place on the evening of 13 August. The said vehicle had fallen into the ravine about 100 meters below the road head.

The team rescued and recovered the body of a dead person from the vehicle. He was identified as Veer Singh (48 years) son of Prem Singh, resident of village Bhaingarki Post Agrakhal Narendranagar Tehri Garhwal.

SDRF Inspector Kavindra Sajwan said that considering the possibility of other people being involved in the accident, a thorough search was conducted in the area around the accident site, in which a mobile was also found. SDRF has handed over the body of the driver to the civil police for post-mortem and other proceedings.
