News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttarakhand Panchayat Elections: The ban imposed by the Uttarakhand High Court on the three-tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand will remain in force. Now the High Court will hear the matter on Wednesday in the matter including the stay vacation and other related matters. Today the government mentioned the matter before the division bench of the Chief Justice. The bench has given time for hearing in the matter tomorrow in the afternoon. All the petitions in the matter will be clubbed and heard tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand State Election Commission has taken a big decision regarding the three-tier panchayat elections.

Amid the stay on the three-tier panchayat elections by the Uttarakhand High Court, the State Election Commission has postponed the nomination and further proceedings for the panchayat elections to be held in the state till further orders of the court. Let us tell you that Election Commissioner Sushil Kumar had announced a detailed program regarding the panchayat elections.

This was the election schedule
According to the election schedule, the District Election Officer had announced that a detailed notification would be issued on 23 June. The process of filing nomination papers would be completed from 25 June to 28 June and the process of scrutiny of nomination papers would be completed from 29 June to 1 July. While the last date for withdrawal of nomination was fixed on 2 July.

The future of Uttarakhand Panchayat elections now depends on the hearing to be held in Uttarakhand High Court on Wednesday. Let us tell you that the High Court has banned the three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttarakhand. The court gave this order when the process of reservation in the elections was not clear and has ordered the state government to file a reply on this matter. After this order of the court, the process of three-tier elections has been postponed in 12 districts of the state.
