Lucknow: Film director Sanoj Mishra has been found safe by Lucknow Police in a hotel in Varanasi. He had disappeared after switching off his mobile to escape from Bengal Police. Inspector Gomtinagar Extension Sudhir Awasthi said that he has been handed over to his wife Dhruti Mishra.

Sanoj is originally from Raebareli. He lives with his family in Sulabh Awas in Lucknow. Investigation so far has revealed that he had made a film named The Bengal File some time ago. A case was registered against him in Kolkata for this. Kolkata Police had issued a notice regarding this.

The police were searching since August 16  

Sanoj went to Kolkata from Lucknow via Guwahati on 14th August. On 15th August, he talked to some lawyers and then his phone got switched off. During interrogation, Sanoj told that he had switched off his mobile and thrown it away due to fear of arrest. After this, he came to Banaras. After the missing complaint was registered on 16th August, the police was searching for him.
