Azamgarh. Samajwadi Party News: In the presence of MP Dharmendra Yadav in the Samvidhan Maan Stambh program of SP, there was a lot of uproar over Gopalpur MLA Nafees Ahmed being prevented from speaking. Nafees publicly said that he is being prevented from speaking because he is a Muslim.
Senior leaders somehow managed to calm the situation by persuading the people. However, the next day of the incident, one party filed a complaint in the police station and made it clear that the fire of protest burning in the party has not been extinguished yet. Nafees Ahmed was speaking in a program organized in Nehru Hall on 14th August. During this, some people including party worker Ramsamujh Vishwakarma stopped him from speaking.
The MLA did not like this and told the people managing the stage that I am a Muslim, that is why I am not being allowed to speak. The dispute between both the parties increased. There was abuse and scuffle between his supporters and other workers. The people making the video and the workers who refused to speak were also beaten up. The video of the entire incident is being circulated on the internet media.
Tahrir given for security in police station
On Friday, activist Ramsamujh Vishwakarma has filed a complaint in the city police station, pleading for protection from the police. Sandeep Srivastava, who made the video, has also filed a complaint of assault on him in the complaint given to the police. Police officer Shashimauli Pandey said that two people have filed a complaint and the matter is being investigated.
