Senior Democratic leaders on the US House Foreign Affairs Committee criticized the Trump administration, saying that despite more than a month having passed, the war has shown no clear results. In a joint statement, the leaders said Trump launched the war without a clear plan and has so far failed to achieve his goals.

Question on strategy

Democratic leaders say the war has had no significant impact on Iran's nuclear program, missile capabilities, or its policy of supporting terrorist organizations. They also say the war has brought no relief to the Iranian people. They argue that the Trump administration has not achieved any substantial strategic success so far.

Democratic lawmakers said the cost of this war has been enormous, with 13 American soldiers killed and hundreds wounded, and billions of dollars worth of weapons and military equipment destroyed.

He said thousands of Iranian civilians have also been killed, including more than 150 schoolgirls. Furthermore, the war has impacted the global economy, affecting supplies of essential commodities like oil, fertilizer, and helium, and increasing tensions in the Middle East.
