News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stated that Uttar Pradesh will rapidly advance in the fields of drones, quantum, green hydrogen, and med-tech. He directed officials to ensure concrete action toward making the state the "deep tech capital" of the country, with the vision of "Innovate in UP, Scale for the World."

He directed that Uttar Pradesh be a leader in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and med-tech. He also called for a strong coordination between research and industry to ensure widespread use of innovations.

At a high-level meeting on Friday, IIT Kanpur Director Professor Manindra Aggarwal gave a presentation on the field of med-tech. He stated that technological solutions for healthcare are being developed through the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology. A proposal in this regard has been submitted to the Department of Medical Education.

The Chief Minister also described the proposed Center of Excellence in the field of green hydrogen at IIT Kanpur as crucial for the state's energy future. The meeting also discussed establishing the country's first institutional center for internationally recognized clinical validation in the field of Ayurveda.

The Chief Minister said that through this centre, scientific certification of Ayurvedic medicines, creation of research base, laboratory development and conservation and use of herbal resources will be promoted.

Regarding drone technology, the Chief Minister called for Uttar Pradesh to be made a major hub for indigenous drone manufacturing and research. He called for promoting indigenization in drone technology to meet defense needs. He also called for further strengthening the culture of innovation within the startup ecosystem.

Describing the proposed "UP Deep-Tech Hub" in Noida as a central platform for the state's technological development, the Chief Minister directed that world-class facilities be developed here for deep-tech startups, research institutes, and industries. He emphasized the need to effectively implement the model of research at IIT Kanpur, expansion from Noida, and deployment.
