News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh News: A tragic incident has come to light from Banda district in Uttar Pradesh. Following a domestic dispute, a police constable allegedly attacked his wife and three-year-old daughter with a sharp weapon. The girl died in the attack, while the woman was seriously injured.

Police officials provided this information on Thursday. According to Circle Officer (Babiru) Saurabh Singh Syed, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The accused was identified as 35-year-old police constable Gaurav Kumar, who works as a PRV (Police Response Vehicle) driver for Dial 112.

The constable attacked and fled

Police said that after a domestic dispute, he attacked his wife, Shivani (32), and daughter, Pari, with an axe. After the attack, the accused locked the room's door from the outside and, finding an opportunity, disappeared.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving information from the landlord and admitted the seriously injured mother and daughter to Banda Medical College. The girl died during treatment, while Shivani, in critical condition, was sent to Kanpur for better treatment.

Constable's mobile phone found on Yamuna bank

Circle Officer Saurabh Singh Syed said that Gaurav Kumar lived with his wife and daughter in a rented house in the Marka area. During a late-night search operation, police recovered the constable's mobile phone and some of his personal belongings from the banks of the Yamuna River. Although he remains at large, the search for him is ongoing.
