News Topical, Digital Desk : At present, 1245 villages in 24 districts of Uttar Pradesh are affected due to continuous rains, they are being monitored every moment. Relief has been provided to 2,06910 people in flood affected areas. Compensation has been distributed to 360 damaged houses.

According to information, 17,924 food packets and 2,47,277 lunch packets have been distributed so far and fresh food is being served in more than 40 langars. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is constantly monitoring the flood-affected areas.

CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday conducted an aerial survey between Agra and Auraiya to see the flood situation. Along with this, he met the flood victims in Auraiya and distributed relief material to them. The CM assured the flood victims that they need not panic, the government is with them in this hour of crisis. They will not lack anything. On the other hand, officials and relief department officials are continuously engaged in relief work in the flood affected areas. 

1245 villages affected by floods, more than 2 lakh victims given relief

Relief Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami said that at present 59 tehsils and 1245 villages of 24 districts of the state have been affected by floods. 2,06910 people are affected by the floods in these areas, who have been provided relief assistance. At the same time, 26,089 cattle have been shifted to a safe place due to the floods. So far, the houses of 517 people have been damaged due to the floods, out of which relief amount has been provided to 360 people. 

At the same time, more than 33,252 hectares of area in the state has been affected by floods. Relief material is being delivered to these affected areas with the help of 1640 boats and motorboats. So far, 17924 food packets and 2,47,277 lunch packets have been distributed in these areas. Currently, food is being provided to the victims through more than 40 langars in the flood affected areas.

More than 41 thousand people got home-like facilities

The Yogi government is taking full care of the safety and food of the cattle along with the victims in the flood affected areas. So far, 5585 quintals of straw has been distributed for the cattle. Apart from this, 2,04,494 chlorine tablets and 1,60,559 ORS packets have also been distributed so that waterborne diseases can be controlled. A total of 377 flood shelters are active in the flood affected areas, where 41,842 people are residing temporarily. All of them are being medically checked by 901 medical teams. Along with this, 1348 flood posts have been established, which are monitoring the situation in the affected areas.

Know that this district is an area affected by flood

At present, 24 districts of the state are affected by floods. These include Bijnor, Bahraich, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Kasganj, Bhadohi, Kanpur Nagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, Auraiya, Chitrakoot, Ballia, Banda, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Jalaun, Kanpur Dehat, Hamirpur, Etawah and Fatehpur. Relief work is going on rapidly in all these districts.
