News Topical, Digital Desk : Preparations have intensified in the district for the first phase of house listing for Census 2027. This time, the entire district has been divided into 1923 blocks and approximately 2350 employees have been deployed, who will go door-to-door to record details of houses and families.
Each enumeration block covers an average population of about 800. This work will be carried out from May 22 to June 20.
The administration has put in all its efforts to ensure the success of this nationally important program, the census. After reviewing the situation with the government via video conferencing, District Magistrate Pulkit Garg directed all departmental officers and employees to ensure their active cooperation in this endeavor.
Negligence will not be tolerated
He clarified that negligence in the census work will not be tolerated. Before the start of the first phase, ordinary citizens have been given the opportunity to participate. Online self-enumeration will be available from May 7th to 21st.
Through this portal, people will be able to enter information about their homes and families themselves, making the process more simple and transparent. Enumerators and supervisors deployed in the district will complete this task within the stipulated timeframe.
They are already being trained for this. The training will be conducted at the tehsil and municipal levels from April 20th to May 2nd, where 34 field trainers will provide necessary guidance to all personnel.

These questions will be asked in the digital census
The first phase of the census will consist of a house count. The use, construction material, and condition will be assessed.
During the survey, information will be collected on a total of 33 points, which will include questions like building number, census house number, material used in the floor, wall and roof of the house, use of the house, condition of the house, family number, number of family members, name and gender of the head, belonging to Scheduled Caste/Tribe, ownership of the house, number of rooms, number of married couples, source of drinking water, accessibility of toilet, type of toilet, drainage of dirty water, availability of bathroom, kitchen, availability of LPG-PNG connection, main fuel used for cooking, radio-transistor, television, internet facility, telephone, mobile, smart phone, bicycle, bike, scooter, moped, car, jeep, van, main grain consumed by the family, mobile number for census related information etc.
