News Topical, Digital Desk : A sensation spread in Rajpur Kala village of Aonla tehsil in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday afternoon when firing took place after a clash between two groups over a land dispute. Five people were injured in this incident. The district administration has suspended two revenue officers and two policemen on charges of negligence.

The police have detained seven people and the investigation is ongoing. There is tension in the village due to this incident. The police have deployed force and started taking strict action against those who are spoiling the atmosphere.

Those injured in the firing were treated in hospital

According to the police, Suresh Pal Singh (60), Viresh Pal (70), Anoop (16), Atul (30), and Rahul (25) were injured in the firing. All the injured were immediately admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The incident took place in Aliganj police station area.

Revenue and police officials were punished

The district administration took the matter seriously and took immediate action. The revenue inspector and the local accountant were suspended for indiscipline and not giving timely information about the dispute.

SSP Anurag Arya said that Aliganj police station sub-inspector Manoj Kumar and head constable Shahnawaz have been suspended for delaying action against the two groups.

Seven people in custody

The police have detained seven people after the incident. The case is being thoroughly investigated to find out the reasons for the firing and the persons responsible.
