According to a news of India Today, America wants to send its dairy products to India, but India has refused. America also wants to send non-vegetarian cow milk. India is not ready for this. It says that a certificate will be required for dairy products.
India is one of the largest countries in the world in terms of milk production. The dairy sector contributes up to 3 percent to India's economy, whose total value is about Rs 9 lakh crore. According to SBI, if America sends goods related to the dairy sector, then India may suffer a loss of Rs 1.03 lakh crore every year. It has also cited religious sentiments while refusing America.
What is non-vegetarian cow milk
Actually, in India, cows are fed grass and fodder. Along with this, many other things are given as food, but in America, this is very less. There, pig, chicken, fish or horse fat is fed as cheap protein in the fodder. This is the reason why India does not want to buy its dairy products. America has said on this matter that this is creating unnecessary problems in the trade deal.
What did Trump say on the trade deal with India?
US President Trump says that talks are going on continuously regarding the trade deal with India. He said that we will deal with India just like we do with Indonesia. The copper sector in Indonesia is very strong. Trump says that he will get access to Indonesia without any tariff.
