This cyclone has caused massive devastation in the central Philippines. The harsh weather and storm-force winds were so strong that a helicopter carrying relief aid to stranded residents crashed, killing six people.

Many people were swept away by the strong current

Typhoon Kalamagi brought winds of 130-180 kilometers per hour. Life was severely disrupted. Seawater entered homes and the waves were monstrous. Forty-nine people were swept away by the floodwaters.

Floods and landslides increased the difficulty

Typhoon Kalamagi has wreaked havoc in central Kibu, triggering landslides that have claimed several lives and left 13 people missing. Bad weather and flooding have also hampered rescue operations in the area.

People in Kibu are constantly pleading for help, but rescue teams are finding it difficult to reach them. Everyone anticipated the cyclone, but no one had even remotely considered the flooding. The torrential floods destroyed many buildings, and the raging water swept away not only people but also homes and vehicles.

The earthquake caused devastation

According to the Philippine government, approximately 2.4 million people in Kibu have been affected by the disaster. Following the typhoon's arrival, frightening images have emerged from the Philippines. A few days ago, a strong earthquake struck Kibu province. During this time, many people's homes were reduced to rubble, and they took shelter in tents. However, Typhoon Kalamagi swept them away.
