News Topical, Digital Desk : Six people were killed and 14 others injured in two separate road accidents in Rajasthan, police said on Monday (January 5). The injured have been admitted to hospital for treatment. Three people, including an elderly couple, were killed and more than 12 passengers were seriously injured when a sleeper bus overturned on a highway in Jalore district late Sunday night (January 4), police said.
The second accident occurred in Sikar district. On Monday (January 5), a high-speed car collided with a passenger vehicle. Two people were reported dead in the accident.
The bus lost control and hit a tree
The accident occurred in the Ahor police station area, where the private bus was traveling from Sanchore to Karauli. Police said the speeding bus lost control, struck a roadside tree, and overturned. Most of the passengers were sleeping at the time of the accident.
Local people rescued the passengers from the bus.
Locals and police broke the bus windows to rescue those trapped inside. The deceased included Fagluram (75) and his wife Hau Devi (65), both from Sanchore, who were traveling to Ajmer. Another passenger, Amritlal, from Bharatpur, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The injured were admitted to nearby hospitals.
A look at the second incident
Meanwhile, three people were killed in an accident in Sikar district. The accident occurred early Monday (January 5) when a car collided with a passenger vehicle on the Ringas-Khatushyamji Road. Two others were injured. The accident occurred near Lampuwa village. Ajay Devanda (35), Gaurav Saini (22), and Ajay Saini (25) died in the accident. Two injured are being treated at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. The police are currently investigating the matter.
