News Topical, Digital Desk : Azadpur Mandi : Big news has come from Azadpur Mandi, Asia's largest fruit and vegetable market. The Mandi has decided to completely end the trade of apples with Turkey. Mandi's president Meetha Ram Kriplani made this important announcement and said that now no new order of apples will be placed from Turkey.

He said, "We have now decided to completely stop the trade of apples with Turkey. We have supported Turkey a lot. In the year 2024, 1,16,000 tonnes of apples were ordered to India, but still Turkey did this to India. Now only those apples will come which were already ordered but after this no new import will be done."

No new order will be placed

Kriplani said that Azadpur Mandi always gave priority to Turkie, but recently Turkie's attitude towards India has disappointed him a lot. He said, "We supported Turkie for years, but now their behavior has hurt us a lot. For this reason, we have decided that in future neither apples nor any other fruit or vegetable will be ordered from Turkie."

This decision is not only important from a business point of view, but it also reflects the bitterness in India-Turkey trade relations. This move of Azadpur Mandi can also affect the fruit and vegetable supply chain across the country, especially those traders who were dependent on imports from Turkey. However, the Mandi administration has also clarified that the import of apples and other fruits from other countries will continue, so that the demand in the country is met.

Let us tell you that although the military conflict between India and Pakistan has been postponed, but during this time this decision has been taken in view of Turkey's stance in India's military conflict against Pakistan.
