News Topical, Digital Desk : Himachal News: Tourists are turning to the mountains to get relief from the scorching heat in the plains. There is a crowd of tourists in the tourist places of Himachal. A large number of tourists are also reaching Shimla, the queen of mountains. This number has increased even more on weekends. As a result, the problem of traffic jam on the roads has also increased. Due to which vehicles are crawling. 

In the last seven days, more than 2 lakh 25 thousand vehicles have passed through Shoghi barrier, due to which the roads have become jammed. A journey of a few minutes is now taking hours. To deal with the traffic problem, the police have deployed additional traffic personnel. Generally, a journey of 20 minutes is taking one and a half hours.

Shimla DSP Traffic Police Sandeep Sharma said that the police administration has deployed two additional traffic squads to keep the traffic running smoothly. People are also appealed to leave home a little early on working days or for important work so that they do not have to face the problem of traffic jam. 170 police personnel have been deployed to improve the traffic. In view of the number of vehicles, traffic is being diverted in different parts of the city. Traffic police personnel are providing services in three shifts of six hours each.

While the tourism business was disappointed due to the indifference of the weather in May, as the heat increased in June, the influx of tourists in Himachal has increased. Hotels are packed and 80 percent advance booking is being done. If the weather cooperates, the number of tourists in Himachal may break the previous record in the coming days.
