The future of SIR in Bihar can be decided during the Supreme Court hearing today. Earlier, it has been argued in this petition that the SIR process will deprive voters of their right to vote on a large scale. Hearing on the case related to Justice Yashwant Verma: Apart from the special intensive voter list revision in Bihar, the Supreme Court will also hear the petition challenging the report of the internal committee blaming Justice Yashwant Verma of Allahabad High Court, who is facing allegations of cash being found in his residence. Everyone's eyes are on this high profile case.

On Monday, a hearing is also scheduled on the PIL in which an order has been sought for the Delhi Police to register an FIR and investigate the matter of cash found at Justice Verma's house. Let us tell you that this PIL has been filed by a lawyer Mathew J. Nedumpara.

A case related to BS VI standard vehicles will also be heard today

All hearings in the Supreme Court are considered important. However, today there will be hearing on many such issues which are directly related to the public. Meanwhile, it is believed that during the hearing of a case today, the Supreme Court may decide the age limit of BS 6 vehicles.

 

Everyone's eyes are on the hearing of the case related to SIR

Let us tell you that everyone's eyes will be on the hearing regarding the special intensive voter list revision in Bihar. This is because during the earlier hearing, the apex court had refused to ban SIR. During the hearing, the court had accepted that the Election Commission has full right to SIR.

However, during the hearing, the court had definitely raised questions about the timing of SIR. The Supreme Court had commented that this issue is related to the core of democracy and the right to vote.

At the same time, during the last hearing, the apex court had questioned the Election Commission about the list of 11 documents required for inclusion in the voter list. The Supreme Court had also raised questions about not including the Aadhar card and the voter identity card issued by the Election Commission in the prescribed list.
