News Topical, Digital Desk : Three junior clerks working in the Collectorate were demoted to peons on the instructions of District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh due to their repeated failure in the typing test.
This action was taken under administrative rules. All three were appointed as junior clerks under the Dependents of Deceased quota approximately two years ago. ADM City Dr. Rajesh Kumar stated that Premnath Yadav, Amit Yadav, and Neha Srivastava were recruited as junior clerks in the Collectorate two years ago under the Dependents of Deceased quota.
Later, he was required to pass a typing test within a one-year period. He was given two opportunities to do so, but failed to achieve the minimum required speed on both occasions. A subsequent departmental review found that he did not meet the qualifications required for clerical work.
Following the rules, all three were demoted from their junior clerk positions to peons. The demotion resulted in a monthly salary reduction of approximately six thousand rupees, and they would also receive a promotion opportunity after a considerable delay.
