This Netflix series created a stir in 2025 on OTT platforms, becoming No. 1 with 145.8 million views

However, OTT platforms also saw a number of series, from "Skid Games 3" to "Wednesdays Season 2" and "Stranger Things 5," that global audiences eagerly awaited.

New seasons of these popular series were released and quickly took over Netflix. However, one of these web series was widely viewed both abroad and in India, becoming the most-watched Netflix series of 2025. 

Squid Games 3

Netflix's Korean drama series "Squid Games 3" was a favorite among both Indian and international audiences. The series released three seasons, with the first and second seasons receiving critical acclaim. The third season received mixed reviews from critics, but it managed to garner the most views from global audiences. The series received 145.8 million views globally, making it the most-watched series of 2025.

Adolescence

The British psychological crime drama "Adolescence" premiered its first season, directed by Philippe Barantini. The series revolves around a 13-year-old boy named Jamie Miller, who is arrested for the murder of a girl at school. Each episode will keep you on your toes, garnering 142.6 million views on Netflix

Wednesday 2

The American supernatural mystery comedy series "Wednesday" returns with its second season in 2025. The series is based on the television character Wednesday Addams. Like Stranger Things, this series was released in two parts. Season 2 of Jenna Ortez's Wednesday received 119.3 million views on Netflix

Stranger Things season 5

Fans have been waiting for the fifth season of the American science fiction horror drama television series "Stranger Things." A few episodes were released last month on November 26th, with the remaining episodes scheduled for December 25th and 31st. Netflix crashed upon its release. The series has received approximately 115.2 million views on Netflix.

The Night Agent Season 2

Season 2 of the American action thriller series "Night Agent" was released on January 23rd of this year. The 10-episode series stars Gabriel Basso, Lucien Buchanan, and Fola Evans. The series has garnered 94.1 million views on Netflix.
