The reason behind blurred vision can be minor or serious, in such a situation ignoring the symptoms is not good for the health of the eyes. Let's take a look at the reasons for this blurred vision.
Eye problems may be the reason
- Myopia: In this, the person has difficulty in seeing distant objects, while nearby objects are clearly visible.
- Hyperopia: In this, the patient can see distant objects clearly, while he has difficulty in seeing nearby objects.
- Astigmatism: In this, the shape of the patient's cornea is abnormal due to which the light in the eye is not able to focus equally. In such a situation, things appear blurry whether from far or near.
- Presbyopia: This eye problem reduces the ability to focus on near objects as we age. It is seen in people over 40 years of age.
Dry Eyes
This problem occurs when the eyes are unable to produce enough tears or the tears dry up too quickly. This causes irritation, redness and blurred vision in the eyes. The reasons for this can be:

- Glaucoma: Due to excessive pressure in the eyes, the optic nerve gets damaged. In this, the vision of the eyes gradually decreases. It is divided into two parts, primary and secondary. While primary glaucoma occurs without any reason, secondary glaucoma occurs due to injury to the eye, diabetes or long-term use of steroids.
- Diabetic retinopathy: This happens when the blood vessels of the retina get damaged due to high blood sugar. This causes blurred vision . Sometimes in severe cases, the eyesight is completely lost.
