Trump shared a post on the social media platform Truthout, saying that Denmark has been trying to remove the Russian threat from Greenland for a long time. Now the time has come. This effort will be successful.

What did Trump say?

Trump wrote on Truth, "NATO has been telling Denmark for the last 20 years that it must address the Russian threat. Unfortunately, Denmark has not been able to do anything about it so far. But the time has come. Action will definitely be taken."

Everyone from the White House to the Danish presidency, the European Union, and the Danish Foreign Ministry have so far remained silent on Trump's statement. Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants ownership of Greenland.

Greenland was threatened

The leaders of Denmark and Greenland have made it clear that the subcontinent is not for sale and will never become part of the United States. On Saturday, Trump threatened European countries with tariffs if they did not hand over Greenland.

Trump cites the presence of Russia and China in Greenland, which is included in the NATO security pact, as a threat to US national security.
