News Topical, Digital Desk : Barra police arrested Munna Khan, a resident of Juhi Parampurwa, in an encounter during a checkpoint near Fatehpur intersection at around 2 a.m. on Thursday night. A stolen bike, Rs 1,200, and a pistol were recovered from the accused.
On Thursday, he, along with two of his associates, had beaten up Mohit Nishad at gunpoint in front of Singh Dhaba near Barra bypass and robbed him of his Pulsar bike, mobile phone and Rs 5,000.
He was shot in the leg during the police encounter. Police admitted him to LLR Hospital. Around 10 a.m. on Friday, he escaped from the police through the minor OT near the emergency room at LLR Hospital.
