News Topical, Digital Desk : Twenty-five people died in a Goa nightclub fire. The owners of that nightclub, Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, fled Delhi to Thailand immediately after the incident. They are being brought back to India today. Both brothers have been extradited from Thailand and are on a flight bringing them back to India. All preparations have been made for what will happen when the Luthra brothers arrive at Delhi airport.
Know what is the complete plan
After landing at Delhi's T3, the Luthra brothers will be taken to Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka Sector 9 for medical examination. They will then be produced at Delhi's Patiala House Court and will land at 1:45 pm. A team of Goa police will be waiting for the Luthra brothers when they land at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Goa police will take them into custody at the Delhi airport itself.
"A Goa Police team will leave for Delhi tonight and will be present there to ensure his security as soon as he leaves the Delhi airport," a Goa Police official had said on Monday.
The Luthra brothers, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, Goa, fled to Thailand hours after a massive fire at their nightclub on the intervening night of December 6-7 killed 25 people. Following India's request, Thai law enforcement authorities detained Saurabh and Gaurav from their hotel in Phuket last week.
Their passports have been confiscated by the Indian government and a Blue Notice has been issued against them through Interpol. Upon arrival, the two brothers will be produced before a Delhi court on Tuesday to seek their transit remand, the official cited above said.
