In an exclusive interview with Mid-Day, Suvinder Vicky said,

“Initially, the makers probably didn't think the show would resonate so much, which is why they didn't think about a second season. To be honest, I didn't even know when the second installment started being made, or whether it was even being made. I was shooting for another Netflix series, 'Glory,' when I was told I wasn't part of Kohra 2.”
