News Topical, Digital Desk : Allahabad High Court has put a stay on the merger of schools in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. While hearing this matter, Chief Justice Arun Bhansali and Jaspreet Singh granted relief to the petitioner of Sitapur and the special appeal to maintain the status quo of the school has been accepted for the next date.

Let us tell you that the petitioner was disappointed in the hearing held here by a single judge bench. Recently, two petitions against the merger decision were rejected, after which a special appeal was filed. The petitioner's side was presented on the special appeal before two judges. 

Ban on merger of schools of the district till further orders
Chief Justice Arun Bhasali and Jaspreet Singh have ordered the petitioner of Sitapur to maintain the status quo of the Rahat School. The next date for this special appeal has been approved for 21st August. That means now the schools of Sitapur will not be merged till the next hearing.

This order will be applicable only for the schools of Sitapur.
Let us tell you that this was an appeal by the children of Sitapur, so after the hearing, the order will be applicable only for the school in question. The court has stayed the petition of Sitapur after hearing it. The court said that from now onwards the schools will not be merged till further orders. The government has to file a counter, after that the advocates of the children will file their reply. The next hearing will be on August 21.

What did the petitioner's lawyer say?
The High Court's stay on the merger of primary schools will apply only to Sitapur district. Petitioner's lawyer Dr. LP Mishra says that the entire case was of Sitapur only, so the stay has been granted only for Sitapur.
