News Topical, Digital Desk : Congress MP from Amethi, Kishori Lal Sharma, said on Thursday that Amethi belonged to the Gandhi family and will remain so. He added that the Congress is soon organizing a major event in Amethi, in which a member of the Gandhi family will be present.

Sharma, who was on a day-long visit to Amethi, addressed party workers at the district Congress office, saying, "The Gandhi family belongs to Amethi, and Amethi belongs to the Gandhi family. The Gandhi family always thinks for the welfare of Amethi. They think for the development of Amethi."

He said, "I am here today because of his instructions. He sent me to serve your Amethi, and I am fulfilling that responsibility."

Sharma said that he will remain indebted to the people of Amethi throughout his life who have elected this servant as their MP and he will always make every possible effort for the development of Amethi.

He said, "I never think ill of anyone, nor do I have any dispute with anyone. My goal is to develop Amethi and serve Amethi."

Take me away from Amethi – Rahul Gandhi told Sharma

On the question of the Gandhi family's visit to Amethi, Sharma said, "Rahul Gandhi himself asked me to take him to Amethi. We will soon be holding a major event here, in which a member of the Gandhi family will be present. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi himself has expressed his desire to visit Amethi."

Condemning the incident that happened with Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in Prayagraj, Sharma said that on one hand these people call themselves contractors of Sanatan, the government of saints and on the other hand the way a saint was insulted in Prayagraj, the way a saint was treated is definitely very condemnable.

It is believed that through a big program in Amethi, the Gandhi family and the Congress will gauge the pulse of the people for the 2027 elections in UP.
