Anna Wintour  's character Miranda Priestly was played by famous Hollywood actress Meryl Streep. The film was based on the book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, who was once Anna's assistant. In this film, Miranda's character was shown as a strict, uncaring and eccentric boss, whose glimpse would scare the audience. Now, after years, Anna has broken her silence on this film and her character.

People were worried for Ana

In an interview with The New Yorker, Anna Wintour revealed that she wore a Prada outfit to the film's premiere. She said, “I went to the premiere wearing Prada, I had no idea what the film would be about. I think the fashion industry was very worried about me with this film, because it was going to show me in a difficult situation.”

Anna described the film as a cartoon

Anna Wintour described the film as a cartoon. She said, "It was like a cartoon. Yes a cartoon. First of all  Meryl Streep  was wonderful in it. Then I went to see the film and I thought it was very entertaining and fun. Miuccia (Prada) and I talk about it a lot and I say to her, "Wow that was really good for you." You can imagine what she said. Listen it had a lot of humor. It had a lot of wit. It had Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. They were all wonderful. In the end I thought it was a fair shot."
