After reviewing the entire film, the Central Board of Film Certification has given the movie a U/A+ 16 certificate. The Censor Board has been strict with major films in the past, removing significant dialogues from numerous scenes, but this hasn't happened with "Tere Ishq Mein." According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, the film has been passed by the Censor Board with just one cut, removing an "obscene" scene from the film.

The report also claims that the Censor Board hasn't removed any action or intimate scenes or visuals from the film; only one dialogue has been modified. At 27 minutes into the film, a scene containing an obscene word has been replaced. The Censor Board also requested the inclusion of anti-smoking messages in Hindi and the blurring of alcohol brand labels.

With all the changes, the Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer has a running time of 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 17 seconds. According to reports, the film has already sold over 35,000 tickets in advance booking revenue.
