News Topical, Digital Desk : Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited reported record performance in October 2025. According to the company, it benefited from the festive season, and its wholesale and retail figures reached record levels. Last month, the company sold a total of 61,295 units in domestic and international markets, compared to 48,423 units in October 2024. This represents a 26.6% year-on-year increase in sales. In October, the company remained the country's second-largest automaker in retail sales for the second consecutive month.

Record Performance

This festive season saw record-breaking performance for the company. For the second consecutive month, Tata Motors set a new record for monthly wholesale sales. The company's SUV range contributed the most to sales. With sales of over 47,000 units in October, SUVs accounted for 77% of total monthly sales, the highest ever. Monthly bookings also recorded record performance. Tata Motors also performed exceptionally well in electric vehicle (EV) sales. In October 2025, the company sold 9,286 EV units, a 73% increase compared to last year. Retail sales of EVs are also at an all-time high. Demand for the Tata Nexon also saw a significant surge—its sales grew by 50%. Meanwhile, combined sales of the Harrier and Safari models reached 7,000 units. Tata Motors delivered over 100,000 vehicles between Navratri and Diwali, representing a 33% year-on-year increase. 

For the second consecutive month, Tata Motors has been the second-largest auto company in the country in terms of retail sales. In October 2025, the company's total retail sales were ahead of Mahindra & Mahindra and Hyundai. Currently, Maruti is the number one automaker in terms of retail sales.
