
News Topical, Digital Desk : In a joint operation by PCB and SOG in Surat , a person named Pratik Shah was arrested from Adajan area and a fake visa manufacturing factory was exposed. Fake visa stickers of UK, Canada , Macedonia , Serbia , Czechoslovakia and other European countries were recovered from this factory .
Police have recovered 5 visa stickers from him . Investigation has revealed that Pratik Shah used to sell these fake visa stickers to agents in Delhi, Chandigarh , Punjab and Haryana. Several cases have been registered against the accused earlier and a total of 12 cases have been registered against him since 2017. It is worth mentioning that the accused used to order hallmarked papers of European countries from Alibaba site and charged Rs 15,000 per visa.

Surat city SOG and PCB teams in a joint operation busted an international visa racket from Rander area and arrested a notorious accused named Pratik alias Abhijeet Nilesh Bhai Shah. The accused was running a factory for making duplicate visas of many countries like UK, Canada , Europe, Serbia , Macedonia . Police have seized a large amount of fake visa making setup and other material from the accused's house .

Based on the concrete information received by SOG PI A.P. Chaudhary and PCB PI R.S. Suvera , the police raided Samor Residency , Flat No. 202, near Shreejinagari Society , Jhagadia Chowkdi in Rander area late at night. During this, Pratik Shah was arrested red handed.
What was recovered
The police have seized goods worth Rs 1,30,000 from the accused's house, which includes 5 visa stickers of different countries, 8 colour prints of visa stickers of different countries, 1 stamp coin of Czech Republic , 2 paper cutters, 2 UV laser torches, 1 emboss machine, 2 corner cutter machines, 1 scale, 9 different ink bottles, 46 hallmarked large papers of European countries, 73 hallmarked large papers of Canada , 107 small hallmarked small papers of European countries , 172 hallmarked large papers of Macedonia , 243 hallmarked large papers of Serbia , 42 hallmarked large papers of UK , 5 mobile phones (worth Rs 50,000), 2 colour printers (worth Rs 30,000), 1 HP laptop (worth Rs 50,000).
Accused Pratik Shah, in connivance with other travel agencies, used to charge huge amounts of money from people wishing to travel abroad on the pretext of getting them visas. He used to order hallmarked papers of various countries from Chinese websites like Alibaba.com . After this, he used to prepare fake visas by editing the visa format using CorelDraw software in his laptop . He used to charge Rs 15,000 per visa.

Pratik Shah is a notorious criminal and has several cases registered against him in visa scams. He has 9 cases registered against him at Udhna police station, 1 at Gorwa police station in Vadodara city , and 2 at IGI airport.
