News Topical, Digital Desk : GRAP-3 has been lifted from Delhi-NCR. The Air Quality Management Department implemented this decision on Wednesday (November 26th) following improvements in air quality. Consequently, GRAP-3 restrictions have been lifted with immediate effect. This decision was made following improvements in air quality.
The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), also known as GRAP-3, was implemented due to rising pollution in Delhi-NCR. The CAQM has lifted GRAP-3 in Delhi-NCR. However, restrictions imposed under GRAP-1 and GRAP-2 will remain in place. Now, with this relief decision, restrictions on many activities will be lifted.
There are restrictions on these things in Grape-3
- After the implementation of GRAP-3, BS-3 petrol and BS 4 diesel vehicles are banned.
- No vehicle is used during this period.
- Along with this, building construction is completely banned.
- Builder projects, road construction and other construction projects are also completely banned.
- As soon as the rules of GRAP 3 are implemented, construction work is stopped at all places except the most essential places like airport, hospital, elevated road and STP plant projects.
- Streets are cleaned daily, water is sprinkled regularly, and dust and debris from construction and demolition are properly disposed of.
This is how the steps of GRAP are implemented
The first stage of GRAP is implemented at a location when the AQI is between 201 and 300. The second stage is implemented when the AQI is between 301 and 400. The third stage is implemented when the AQI is between 401 and 450.
The fourth stage of GRAP is implemented when the AQI exceeds 450. The restrictions imposed under GRAP 4 are the most stringent and strictest. It should be noted that after GRAP 4 is implemented, trucks, loaders, and other heavy vehicles are not permitted to enter the capital.
However, vehicles carrying essential supplies are allowed entry. All construction and demolition work is prohibited during this period. State governments also decide on online classes for school students and work from home for government and private offices.
