Sukhpreet and Gurpreet arrested by UP STF, had killed a woman in Navi Mumbai:

News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has achieved a major success by arresting two accused in the contract killing of a woman in Navi Mumbai. The arrested accused have been identified as Sukhpreet Singh, a resident of Haryana, and his maternal uncle's son Gurpreet Singh.

According to the information, this murder took place on 18 May 2025 in NRI Sagari police station area of Navi Mumbai. In this case, the woman's husband Kishore Singh is accused of plotting the murder of his wife. Police investigation has revealed that the accused husband had given a contract of Rs 5 lakh for the murder of his wife, which Sukhpreet and Gurpreet were appointed to carry out.

STF was asked for cooperation from Navi Mumbai Police in search of these two. After this, Noida field unit of STF formed a team and started gathering information. On 24 May, STF got information that both the accused were present near Ghanta roundabout in Surajpur police station area and were trying to escape somewhere. STF team, with the help of Navi Mumbai Police, raided and arrested both of them.

Ordered knife and mask online for murder

During interrogation, accused Sukhpreet Singh told that he is 24 years old and has passed 12th. He was fond of modeling and that is why he went to Mumbai with his maternal uncle's son Gurpreet in 2022. There he met a woman from Ghaziabad, who ran a salon in Navi Mumbai. On the advice of the same woman, Sukhpreet decided to commit murder. According to the police, Sukhpreet ordered knives and masks online, and after doing recce for several days, on the night of May 18, he slit the throat of Kishore Singh's wife. The woman was murdered on the road when she was going out alone.

After the arrest, both the accused have been lodged in Surajpur police station. Navi Mumbai Police has started the process of transit remand so that both of them can be brought to Maharashtra and further action can be taken. This incident not only shatters the dignity of relationships, but also shows how money and greed can take a person on the path of crime. The police is now investigating the case deeply and soon major action can be taken regarding the role of the accused husband Kishore Singh.
