The Mumbai Anti-Extortion Cell has arrested four accused in the Rohit Shetty house shooting case. The leader of the four is Shubham Lonkar, a member of the gangster Bishnoi gang . According to Shubham's profile, he is a resident of Akola, Maharashtra.
Lonkar initially worked as a farmer and cowherd in Akola. He then gradually began supplying weapons. Two years ago, in October 2024, Shubham's name also surfaced in connection with the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
Shortly after, he also came under suspicion in the shooting incident at superstar Salman Khan's house. Lonkar was also arrested by the Akola police in January 2024 in connection with a weapons supply case. However, he later released on bail. In Jaisalmer, he met some members of the Bishnoi gang and joined them. Subsequently, he relocated to Pune after becoming influenced by the Bishnoi gang.
One accused still absconding
In addition to Shubham Lonkar, the other accused arrested by the Mumbai Anti-Extortion Cell include Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayki, Siddharth Deepak Yenpure, Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji, and Swapnil Bandu Sakat. It is reported that one more accused remains unaccounted for.
