News Topical, Digital Desk : HG Infra Engineering Limited (HG Infra Engineering) informed after the stock market closed on Friday that the company has been declared L-1 bidder in a major tender of Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) in joint venture bidding with Kalpataru Projects International Limited.
The company said the project is worth approximately ₹14.15 billion (₹14.15 billion). HG Infra will hold a 40 percent stake in the joint venture, while Kalpataru Projects International will hold a 60 percent stake.
What is the project? The JV has been awarded the design and construction of a 20.527-kilometer-long elevated metro viaduct for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project. This includes the entire elevated corridor from the UG Ramp to Balkum Naka, the depot approach viaduct, and three special spans. This project will strengthen Thane's metro network and is considered a significant step towards improving connectivity in the city.

The company's stock closed at ₹865.40 on Friday, up 8.65%. Over the past year, the company's stock has declined 32.37%.
