Phoolbangla not decorated for the 10th time this season, devotees surprised
Music emperor Swami Haridas, the revealer of Thakur Banke Bihari, initiated Thakurji's Phoolbangla by pampering him in the Nidhivan Raj Temple. Swami Haridas's intention was to place Thakur Banke Bihari in a Phooldol to provide him with coolness from the heat. Therefore, he would sit in a Phooldol made of flowers and leaves in the Nidhivan Raj Temple during the summer.
The temple servants are breaking the tradition that has been going on for years.
Swami Haridas initiated the tradition of Charan Darshan on Akshaya Tritiya and the Swing Festival on Hariyali Teej, both of which are still celebrated with devotion at the temple. However, the temple's servants are currently disrupting the temple's tradition of service. The way they are disrupting Thakurji's Phoolbangla service during the summer months is a direct violation of Thakurji's tradition of service.
The amount for decorating the Phool Bangla was increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 1.51 lakh.
On Sunday, the tenth day, the Phool Bangla could not be decorated during the Shayanbhog Seva in the evening. The reason for this was that the high-powered management committee had recently increased the amount for decorating the Phool Bangla from 15 thousand to 1.51 lakh rupees. However, due to protests, it has now been reduced to one lakh rupees. Whereas, the sevayats have been taking lakhs of rupees from the devotees for this. But, the seva adhikaris are avoiding giving the money received in the name of Thakurji in the service of Thakurji.
