Nifty closed 175 points down at 24,826 after a full day's work on Tuesday. Sensex closed 625 points down at 81,552. Nifty Bank closed 219 points down at 55,353. At the same time, Nifty Midcap Index closed at 57,155.
Which stocks saw action today? Defense stocks rose for the fifth consecutive session today. Garden Reach closed with a gain of 3%. IndiGo stock closed 2% down after the news of the block deal. Olectra Greentech closed 7% down even after clarification was issued regarding e-bus in Maharashtra. This stock saw a sharp decline during early trading. TTK Prestige closed 6% down after suffering losses in the fourth quarter. Blue Dart fell 5% after EBITDA weakness. Bajaj Health closed 7% lower after EBITDA fell 52%. Bayer Cropsciences closed with a gain of 10%.
