News Topical, Digital Desk : In the last trading session of the week, Indian markets closed with a decline. Nifty closed below 24,800. However, Nifty Bank outperformed both the major indexes. Canara Bank and PNB were the fastest stocks of this index today. After the day's work on Friday, the Sensex closed at 81,451 with a weakness of 182 points and the Nifty closed at 24,751 with a weakness of 83 points.

However, Nifty Bank saw a gain of 204 points and the index closed at 55,750. Nifty Midcap index closed at 57,420 after a marginal decline of 37 points.

Suzlon Energy saw a gain of 9% today. The stock saw a tremendous rise today after the company's results were better than expected. Muthoot Finance saw a gain of 7% today. DFS has asked RBI to prepare rescue measures for all small gold loan borrowers. Metal stocks showed weakness after tariff talks between the US and China once again stalled. Hindalco closed down 2%. Public sector banks saw recovery. The PSU Bank index closed with a gain of 3%. PNB saw a recovery of 5% from the day's lows. BSE managed to reach a new peak today. Bajaj Auto showed a cautious outlook with a weakness of 3%. Ola Electric saw a decline of 4% today. The company's loss has doubled. PNC Infratech closed down by 4%. This company's profit declined by 81%. Mazagon Dock closed down by 7%. This company's profit also declined by 51%. SJVN has also returned to loss, after which this stock saw a decline of 6% today. Alkem Lab closed down by 4%. Shalby closed down by 5% after increasing losses.

This week, Sensex and Nifty closed with a decline of about a quarter percent. This was the second consecutive week when the market saw a decline on a weekly basis. The midcap index also saw a rise of 1% and Nifty Bank also saw a rise of 1%. This week, seven of the 35 stocks of Nifty closed with negative returns. The biggest decline was seen in ITC and UltraTech. Trent, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports and SBI were at the top of the Nifty's list of bullish stocks. Cummins India, LIC, Strides Pharma, NBCC and BSE Midcap index were the weakest stocks in the midcap category.
