News Topical, Digital Desk : Sensex Closing bell Today : The domestic stock market witnessed tremendous enthusiasm on June series expiry. On Thursday, the market closed with a great gain for the third consecutive session. Sensex - Nifty closed with a great gain. The midcap index closed with a gain for the fifth consecutive day. If we look at the sectoral front, buying was seen in metal, oil & gas, PSE stocks. Banking, energy and FMCG stocks are seeing a gain.

Nifty managed to cross 25,500 in intraday. The index has reached a 9-month high. The biggest contribution to Nifty's rise came from heavyweight stocks - HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries. Nifty Bank also closed at a record level. HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank contributed the most to this index. 

At what level did the market close today After a day's work on Thursday, the Sensex closed at 83,756 with a gain of 1,000 points and the Nifty closed at 25,549 with a gain of 304 points. Nifty Bank closed at 57,207 with a gain of 586 points. At the same time, the Nifty Midcap index closed at 59,227 with a gain of 346 points. 4 stocks of Nifty - HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel , HDFC Life and Grasim managed to reach new record levels. 

Which stocks saw action today Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank managed to cross Rs 2,000 per share for the first time today. Dr Reddy's Labs closed with a decline even in a strong session today after a negative brokerage note. Hind Copper gained 5% on the back of a rise in copper prices in the international market. Buying in cement stocks increased in anticipation of strong demand. Dalmia Cement closed 5% higher. Oil marketing company stocks saw a rise today. All three government OMCs - IOC, BPCL and HPCL saw a rise of 3%. MCX saw a rise for the second consecutive day today. This stock has shown a rise of 9% this week. However, fertilizer and realty stocks remained under pressure today. Prestige Estates and UPL were the weakest stocks.
