News Topical, Digital Desk : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Chamoli today on Sunday (24 August), where CM Dhami stopped his convoy after seeing the disaster affected people. CM Dhami broke the protocol and reached among the public. After Dharali, today in Tharali too, CM Dhami set an exemplary example of sensitivity.

CM Dhami conducted a field inspection of the disaster-affected areas in Tharali and also met the disaster-affected people. During this, some disaster-affected villagers in Tharali urged Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to open the road to the upper villages as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister assured the villagers that the work of opening the road is going on on a war footing and as soon as the road is safe, he himself will go there with the villagers and take stock of the situation. It is known that the Chief Minister stayed in the affected area for three consecutive days during the Dharali disaster and personally monitored every relief and rescue operation.

Chief Minister Dhami has given a clear message that the Uttarakhand government stands with every affected family and every possible effort is being made to provide relief and assistance to the affected villages.

CM Dhami posted on x about the Chamoli tour and wrote - " In Tharali (Chamoli), I did a field inspection of the disaster affected areas . During this, I met the affected families and got to know their problems and needs and assured them of all possible cooperation . Also reviewed the progress of relief and rescue operations going on in the area and instructed the officials that the help should reach the affected people on time and there should not be any kind of negligence in this . In this hour of crisis, the state government is standing with the disaster affected brothers and sisters with full sensitivity and commitment . The entire administrative system is continuously giving impetus to the relief and rehabilitation work by being active at ground zero ."

SDM residence also damaged in Tharali disaster

Let us tell you that after the devastation caused by the cloudburst in Tharali, many houses and shops in the tehsil office, Chepdon market, Kotdeep market and surrounding areas were filled with one to two feet of debris. Along with this, the SDM residence was also damaged in this devastation and some vehicles were also buried in the debris.
