The petitioner had demanded a harsher sentence against him. There were speculations that Diddy could face up to 135 months in prison.

Justice Arun Subramanian, who heard Sean 'Diddy's' case, is of Indian origin. 'Diddy' wrote to him, confessing his crimes and requesting a commutation of his sentence.
