News Topical, Digital Desk : Telangana: A shocking incident took place at the Pantangi toll plaza in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvangiri district on Wednesday evening. During vehicle checking, a scooter driver hit and severely injured traffic constable Asif and fled from the spot. With the help of CCTV footage, the police have identified the accused as Vishal, a resident of Hyderabad.

The incident took place around 6:30 pm when the traffic police were doing routine checking of vehicles coming from Vijayawada towards Hyderabad. During this time, a scooter driver was signaled to stop. But instead of stopping, the driver deliberately hit constable Asif and fled from the spot.

Constable Asif suffered serious injuries due to the collision, after which he was immediately admitted to Yashoda Hospital. According to doctors, he has suffered serious injuries in three places of his body and is undergoing treatment.

The police acted immediately and scanned the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at the toll plaza and nearby areas. Based on the footage, the police identified the scooty and its driver. The name of the absconding accused is Vishal, who is a resident of Hyderabad. The police said that the accused will be arrested soon and strict legal action will be taken against him.
